This great annual event is held at the beautiful, historic Mission San Juan Capistrano on Saturday, Oct. 8th. If you have not yet experienced the Old Mission at night, that alone is worth the price of admission. The majestic campus with 200 year old adobe buildings and pristine gardens comes alive in a new way when it’s lit up in the evening.
That’s only the beginning of the experience, though. More than twenty local restaurants, bakeries and other dining establishments offer tastes of their great cuisine. Local wineries, breweries and spirit makers offer samples of their drinks as well. This is one event that you won’t leave hungry.
“Family Style,” a local R&B band is back for their sixth year headlining the event, due to immense popular demand. They feature songs ranging from classic hits that you’ll remember from decades ago to the most contemporary hits that are on today’s radio. Every year, they have the crowd of 1,000 rocking and rolling all night long.
The event also features an amazing silent auction. With great gift baskets, there is something for everyone.
The event sells out every year. Admission is $85 per person and this is NOT one of those events where you pay to get in and then pay for everything inside. Your ticket is good for all you can eat and taste all night. The only potential expense is if you prefer mixed drinks, which you can find at two no-host cocktail bars that are set up for your convenience.
The event supports the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce, a local non-profit dedicated to improving the community through economic development. For more information, contact SJC Chamber at (949) 493-4700 or firstname.lastname@example.org or to buy tickets, please visit www.VintageSJC.com
