I came back to the Playground for a redemption dinner because from what I can gather, Jason Quinn is someone that you cannot help but admire because his passion for food shows in his dishes. He is willing to take a chance to try out new things & push the limit in experimenting on new dishes to see what works & what doesn’t work.
This was the menu of what we had for this dinner because the menu changes every night.
Last Sunday, March 15th I had the privilege of attending the Family Winemakers of California’s first Southern California Tasting at Fairplex, Pomona. Almost 100 small, family-owned wineries, from across California. I love that the focus of this event was on small, Southern California family owned wineries. Below are reviews of my favorites out of all of the wineries which I had tasted for this event.
Carlisle Winery & Vineyards poured some interesting wines:
Fish Tacos: veggies fish wrapped in seaweed & breaded: 4 stars
Very crispy & tasty, the Cole slaw topping make his even crunchier. The ranch dressing was yummy & complimented the whole fish taco.
These have the highest pesticide contamination so watch out & try to buy Organic out for these 14 most contaminated fruits & vegetables.
I have heard so much regarding the food & the accomplished owner of this restaurant that I just had to come here & try it out.
